Chelsea

It wasn't Best in Show but it IS extraordinary. Dermot Gavin's amazing pyramid with its lifts and flumes and scaffolding and hanging plants. Nothing like anyone had ever seen before. Lovely but aggresive too.
I loved the Chelsea Flower Show. I know others say that it's too crowded, too commercial, too hot, too tiring. But the grand marquee was full of beautiful stands of exquisite plants and, most unexpected of all, exhibitors who were happy to talk to us and share their hard-earned expert advice.
I can't wait to go again next year.
