Branching Out

A glorious day of sunshine took us to Heaton Park in Manchester today.

Decided against taking the DSLR with me on this occasion, so I snapped this with the Galaxy S2 camera and converted to B&W when I got home.

May be a strange decision to convert to B&W considering it was such a sunny day, with clear blue skies and green green grass. However, I think in B&W it really shows off the detail of the branches against the clear sky.

Another sunny day scheduled for tomorrow so may return with the DSLR. Then again, we're hoping to have a go on the boating lake so I may leave at home just in case we capsize!
