Happy Butler!

After my spontaneous spending combustion in The Old Byre yesterday, I stayed well clear of any of my favourite stores today.  However, as a reward to ourselves for a short walk at Drumpellier in damp and icy blasts, we tootled along to Marks for coffee.

Now, M&S food is situated in a small retail park otherwise occupied by a ginormous Tesco ... mais naturellement! ... and the Matalan, Next, Curry's, Mothercare brigade.  And until very recently, the Butler's favourite places ...... Poundland, Poundstretcher and similar.  

Then to his surprise they closed down without warning!!!!!!!!   Griefstricken, despite my reassurances, he has been wondering where to get cheap plastic stacking boxes ever since:  not to buy, you understand; just for the security of knowing there was a source!!!

But LO!!  It turns out that Poundland has merely skipped along into the vacated Poundstretcher premises, leaving a vacancy for another merchant of useful nonsense to move in!  Let joy be unconfined ...........OOPS!  Unfortunately it doesn't reopen til tomorrow;  and he had even worn a matching hoody to slink past!
