Splashing in the river

We'd invited some friends round for a bbq tonight so I decided to go to the supermarket early. When I got home, I realised that the ice creams and hot dog rolls I'd bought were missing. I was unable to get back to the supermarket for a couple of hours and when I eventually got there, the ice creams were melted. They let me change them !
After lunch, my son went rowing and the girls went kayaking. When I went to pick up the girls, they were all having fun splashing about in the river.
Early evening, our friends Rosie and Andrew (and their three kids) came over for a bbq.
