Yellow wood, painted wood, knotty problems.

Here are some trees.  Trees give us wood.  Some wood is knotty pine. In the 1980s the buggers who favoured knotty pine everywhere (doors, skirting boards, architraves)  probably never thought of the buggers who would come along after them and have to paint out all those knots.  I should know, I am both of those buggers.  Today we made a start on decorating the living room.  The first coat of knot stop/primer/undercoat (from those nice people whose products do what they say on the tin) has been applied. Another coat will follow tomorrow, followed by two top coats - buggery knotty pine!  On the way back from the DIY store (the one that rhymes with Me and You) I stopped briefly to get some shots along the shore and was rewarded with strong low sunlight in this spot, one of my favourites for taking photographs.
