Who needs flowers?

I had a good walk around some Chilterns woods this afternoon hoping to find some spring flowers out - other than primroses, spurge laurel and stinking hellebore, all of which have been showing valliantly for some weeks. There was nothing new. Then I spotted a lovely patch of Wood Spurge which has been making good growth recently and is looking superb. It is some way off actually flowering, but who needs flowers when you've got foliage like this!
