through the course - of several storms

with snowfall melting into - the ground - i walked over forest - floor hoping to see - new growth yet thinking - it probably wouldn't be so - just as i was turning - to leave, i noticed 1 tiny - flash of yellow in - the midst of dying brown leaves - seeing no other yellow - i assumed it was a bit - of yarn or fuzz - but as i brushed away the - leaves, there before my eyes - as you can see - from the photo - was a shoot of - the beginning of a daffodil - oh, for joys sake - the delight of my heart - i think it may have - skipped a beat - for the sheer delight - in seeing this stalk - the only one - it has made for...
