Comic Relief
It's been yet another lovely day for most of the day and I was grateful for having the afternoon free.
At lunch I went to visit K who is still recovering from her op but seemed to be doing very well. I just stayed for an hour or so for a coffee.
Then I found the Beckwith Emporium deep in the countryside near Mears Ashby. Someone had recommended it a while back and I ended up buying lots of good stuff in the sale (and some not in the sale!) for the 'bottom drawer ' birthday and Christmas pressies. A good find and I will definitely go back another Tuesday or Wednesday.
Later I had an interesting head shrink session with lots of Freudian type topics! I then drove the 30 odd miles to Bedford to visit S and E, (blipped getting into the Red Nose Day spirit) for a lovely salad dinner, a grade 3 practice cello recital from E and lovely chats with S on the sofa, setting the world to rights. Subjects ranged from divorce settlements, interior decor, private schools, teacher/student relationships, work, old lovers during our college days, reduced working hours, equality and work/life balance. We're both feeling nice and positive right now, which is jolly good! I left at 11pm after a super evening.
