The great British carnival
Well a sunny day what a perfect day for a carnival! Jacob and Carmen were on floats as was Mummy, Daddy had some one to one time with Sophia. Carmen i had to leave crying on her Wimbledon float keeping my fingers crossed she would be ok!
Jacob was well Jacob he can often take things very literally and last week I pointed out the queen on TV as we had been talking about the jubilee I said" that's the queen the lady sitting down in the blue outfit" Jacob was very excited! So one week on and we are on the float suddenly Jacobs face lit up and he was so excited " look look mummy its the queen" I said where Jacob he showed me this old lady sitting on the path in a chair in a blue top I did not have the heart to say anything! Jacob enjoyed being on the float and being a soldier he only wished he could have filled up his water pistol and "Shooted" everyone - oh he was also devastated to give the money he had collected to the charity pot:(
As for my gorgeous Carmen Carnival floats do not float her boat, she didn't like it in fact Carmen managed to fall asleep on the float and miss most of it! She said she wants to watch next year!
After the carnival we came home as it was roasting hot and Sophia needed milk and some time out from the sun as did all if us!
But as planned on our little sunny street we had a mini street party a BBQ for 5 families with 10 kids, they had good fun playing on the front with water pistols, scooters, cars and the babies in arms were smiling and watching the other children run about the kids had great fun. The mummys and daddys ate and drank while we watched our children run around playing -?it reminded me of when we were young!
A great day with great family and friends - looking forward to next weeks huge street party it's gonna be a great day!
