Sacred Mountain

It was a day of stupas, temples, shrines, tombs, monuments, mausoleums and museums. The highlight being an early morning visit to Okunoin; over 200,000 tombstones of people from all ages of Japanese history. In the centre of which is the very beautiful Hall of Lamps and Kobo Daishi's shrine.

It's safe to say I'm all cultured out!
