Bridge Over the Rakaia Gorge

I'm getting used to all this to-ing and fro-ing to the Garden City; today, Mrs H and I headed north once more, this time for me to say farewell to one of my former colleagues as she heads away on maternity leave, and also to take some shots on campus for the Uni.

On our way home, we ventured down the inland route once more, crossing the Rakaia at the gorge. Before we traversed the bridge, we parked down by the DOC campground and I walked out to the river's edge to grab this wide shot of the bridge and the rock-flour rich azure waters of the Rakaia.

As we approached home we also stopped to grab some more shots of the dramatic sky over the hills. Bliss.
