Where am I?

Today I caught the bus into Civic (Canberra's CBD) to reconnect and see how much it had changed in recent years. I turned a corner and started to wonder where I was when I saw this shopfront. For a brief moment I thought I was back in Dubai. Some old, familiar names remained - Frawley's shoe store, David Jones, Prouds Jewellers, Gus' coffee shop. But there were many new names and many new buildings. 

Came home and cooked up red lentil with beet green soup. Delicious. Then a chat to a friend in the UK. 

Not a bad day :)
