Ginger, doing the limbo

The hens have been causing havoc in the vegetable beds, so in the interests of marital harmony, I've blocked off the gap at the bottom of the gate they were using to escape from the field.

But, like the film Chicken Run, some hens refuse to be confined, even though the whole of North Wales is available to her if she just turned around... 

So Ginger - named after the Julia Sawalha character - tried to limbo her way under the bar. It was a good effort, but unsuccessful. 

Let's just hope she doesn't go on a diet in a more determined bid for freedom.
