The Old Alleys of St Peter Port #21

I went for a walk from Pembroke to the Bridge and took quite a few photographs but none of them really appealed to me. Once home I realised that I hadn't used my Panasonic camera for a long time so I charged the battery, put on the fisheye lens and took it to town. I wasn't very inspired but took a photograph of the third flight of the Pier Steps; these are the most southerly. On the right is La Nautique Restaurant, which used to be pretty expensive. I don't know whether it still is. For some reason I've never been there which is strange because I've eaten at most of the town restaurants that were there before 2000.

I certainly noticed the difference between the 14mm lens on the Nikon and this 7.5mm (which is the equivalent of 15mm) but isn't corrected for fisheye effect so produces a more fun image with distortion.

Blister isn't too bad. I did think about resting my poor old feet until its completely healed but decided its better to keep going and develop callouses to toughen my feet. I have callouses on my hands from ringing; though I have never had a blister from ringing, so I'll have a matching set.

People commented yesterday that I have time to build up stamina before this peal on 9 May. It really won't be strenuous; there is very little effort to ringing. I ring for many hours every week anyway. The only problem is standing still for 3 + hours and that is not something I intend to practice! It'll be alright on the night (or day).
