We must go back again, and again .. ..

Thank you all very much for your lovely comments and stars on yesterday's entry.  All are very much appreciated.

Today we discovered a treasure practically on our doorstep!  It isn't every day that you can find a handmade working model fairground, a museum of village life, a roomful of bears with a collection of Rupert Annuals dating back to 1930, a cabinet of very early cameras, a doll's house and garden room packed with wonderful things, a delightful tearoom, an exhibition of family history relating to their work and much more, all in the pharmacy!

The family responsible for this amazing museum have "followed in fathers footsteps" as pharmacists since 1635.  After1870 their name became world renowned when two brothers,  Philadelphus and John Jeyes invented their famous fluid.  The pharmacy is still a family business.
