Extended. Leitz Elmarit 90mm + Bellows + 2 tubes

After the application of much soap and hand cream, I managed to get my wedding band off for the first time in many years.  We went back to the goldsmith who made it 20 years ago and, after trying on various rings from his sizing selector, advised that he would have to insert a little patch; it was way beyond a mere stretching.  Trying to mitigate my remarks about how it used to fit just fine 20 years ago, he said that it's a well-documented metallurgical phenomenon that gold shrinks with time...  I got my ring back yesterday with this little extension artfully blended into the surrounding metal.  BTW, the work was done gratis - life time warranty.
