House hunting

The cold is back in full force today, hopefully the sun will keep some of the remaining ice and snow patches on the barn roof melting. The birds are quiet, this sparrow couple spent a few minutes checking out the houses on the barn. They have been filled with sparrows bunking up all winter, but perhaps this couple are more serious...

This lovely animal was happy to bask in the warm sun. She rolled around, ear tanning behind the glass storm door this morning as I gingerly carried groceries in. I needed the added safety of my pointed-tip walking stick in one hand. The driveway ice is unbelievable.

Yesterday, a rub and a yawn in unison.
