Fire

Spent the day relaxing, reading my kindle. 

Whilst in the pool in the afternoon we became aware that there was quite some helicopter activity. When we had a closer look the mountain on the other side of the valley to the house, the fynbos was alight and the helicopters were using the local dam on this side to help the ground crew put the fire out. 

The helicopters were quite amazing the precision and expertise with which they were flying and 'dropping' the water was quite something. 

It the combined effort or the ground and air crews about 3 hours to put the fire out.

A job well done and much to be admired!
