I needed a break and fresh air at lunch time so popped out to see if the peregrines were around.

This is the new male peregrine in town. You will recall  that in January I reported the death of the resident male and then in February that this guy had taken over the patch and was mating with the female. He was here displaying his catch to impress his new wife.

Well the news on the old male is that he was shot and the news story is here. Its hard to believe people will do such a thing !!
