RIP

Lost Chichi to a predator today. Feathers everywhere. Wasabi very distressed but in one piece I think. Flash flushed her out of a bush in the dark, thank goodness. I gave the poor bird a quick cuddle and stuffed her back in the hen house. Losing two to neighbour's rat poison and one to a fluke accident with the garden gate, I don't think I can bear to do this any longer. That dilemma again! What to do with a lone chicken. I could try to rehome Wasabi or acquire another pullet and go through the horrors of introducing two strangers who will try to kill each other for days on end.
