Levee Path

This is a paved path on top of the levee along the Mississippi River for walking and biking. It was early evening and you can see part of the Huey P Long bridge and the train cars. It was built in 1935 by then Govenor Long. It's 7 miles long. It was the first bridge crossing the Mississippi that was for both cars and trains. The lanes were only 9 feet wide but are currently being widened to 11 feet, thankfully. It was scary to drive across before.
