Jewels

I do like irises - they feel like the jewels of the flower garden. Perhaps it's because they flower for such a short time.

We eventually managed a morning on the allotment and planted our potatoes. It might be a total waste of time as it's now so late in the season but it seemed such a pity not to try and do something with the seed potatoes we've had hanging around the conservatory for the last few months.
