Active

We have had a lovely active day today. The Husband and I haven't spent much time together over the past week, and I'm going away for a couple of days, so we bookmarked today as a family day.

We got up nice and early, and took the girls for a bike ride locally, stopping at the bakery to get them breakfast and us a coffee. They're doing so well at riding on the road, and learning those essential skills that go along with road riding.

Then after we came home and did a few chores, we went up to the country club and gave the girls another go at playing tennis...well just having a bit of a hit. Then we had a swim.

After we got home, the Husband set to baking, while I did his tax return - a whopping $1.64...better than last year's payment of $300 that we had to make.

So we've got banana and blueberry cake with cream cheese icing plus melting moments held together by black icing, which looks rather odd, but the Eldest insisted.

Now just waiting for the leg of lamb to finish doing its thing...it smells AMAZING!

Am working down in Hamilton for the next 2 days...apparently we get to work in a dungeon in the depths of Waikato Hospital. Sounds appealing huh?
