As the days became hotter, we took advantage of the yurt's simple system of ventilation. The fabric covering the 'wheel' in the roof is roped to the ground. By loosening the ropes the cover can be moved sideways to allow a flow of air in through the door and out through the roof. This was most welcome as summer seemed to have suddenly arrived.
