Saughton Park
Acting on a tip off from LizImbrie, I took the younger Ciglette to the park and after 3 minutes dragged him off the swings and proceeded to march him for about 3 miles through gooey squelchy mud and puddles to find - 7! - new Cigs tags. A whole week's worth.
It's all around my former workplace; given my love of (a) colleagues (or general lack thereof) and (b) getting out of a stifling work environment (physically and mentally) to take to fresh air, kingfisher spotting and foraging, I have a better than average knowledge of this area. So a little bit of nostalgia to go with the job in hand. The sunny corners for lunch, the bridge for quiet contemplation, the greenhouse for the rainy days with Gandhi and goldfish for company.
So no bikes but we're riffing on dogs now, anyway. Yesterday a terrier, today a hound. Looked like mostly greyhound with some - spaniel? Is that possible?
White pen on battered black metal gate post; triple stripe above, double (very straight) underline below. Undated. If yesterday's was Basics, today's is definitely Finest.
Going back here and remembering so much was a joy.
