Too busy

Today should have been a relaxing day in the sunshine, but turned out to be a mad rush to fit everything in as usual, causing stress! First stop was H's dancing class. She joined in a little bit, but I think that as it finishes up in a couple of weeks for summer holidays, we will leave it for now and try again in August, when she's slightly older. Then we ran errands to the post office and local shops.

After a quick lunch, it was off to Tesco to get some stuff for the barbecue, and then Argos for a reserved Sand and Water table. Back home for 10 mins before collecting my mum and going to visit my dad in hospital. He was looking much better after a couple of blood transfusions but still very tired and not fully with it.

After visiting, rushed home to help hubby with organising the barbecue - and found him stressed at getting nothing done, looking after H and O he wasn't getting a minute! H and O's Uncle A, Auntie C and cousin L turned up which meant they could entertain the kids whilst we got the food prepared and cooked, and all turned out fine. Unfortunately it was a bit late in the day for playing in the paddling pool, but they girls had fun on the trampoline, chute and playing with other toys in the garden. It's like a playpark at the moment!

Note the lovely chicken kebabs on the table that hubby made for the barbecue, with Nandos marinade - delicious!
