Little star
Field Day (where all lessons are suspended for the day and all pupils and staff do other things instead) went really, really well. We had pupils up The Shard, in art galleries and museums, at Hampton Court and Rochester Castle, visiting old peoples' homes, helping at local primary schools, cooking, camping, hiking, dancing .. there was even a zombie apocalypse scenario on the fields where pupils had to assess and control a crisis, administer first aid and basically save the world. Grace really enjoyed that one.
Oddly, it was the only school trip Tom has EVER been on where it didn't pour with rain. That'll be because for the first time ever I made him take a coat. The Law of Sod.
In the evening it was the Quiz Night, where our team (Jamie, you were missed - there was a Balotelli question! We got it wrong.) came fourth. Bloody amazing.
And after an epic 15 hours at school I came home to sleeping children, a tidy house and this note from Grace. I am a lucky, and very grateful, mum.
