The day began early with the intention to hike a big hill to the lookout. It was foiled before we began when the tour company had failed to inform us that they didn't have the staff to spare.
Instead we had coffee & our pre-purchased bakery treats on the beach in the early morning light.
It appears to have been a public holiday today & we were treated to some great boat racing (paddle & motor) in the bay in front of us.
I attempted the post-card thing today... I underestimated the postage stamp. It can only be purchased from the post master & only when he is in. He spends much of the morning delivering the mail then writing the report about it. It is also an expensive exercise to undertake. Thankfully we've only another 20 cards to go!!
After lunch at the infamous SeaSlug, we loaded up into some tuktuks for the short trip over the hill & to our next stop - The Beach Shack at Menamegmeg. It's crowded throughout the day, but as the sun sets & the visitors depart the beachside bar & cafe it's quite pleasant. As the waves kept rolling in, the atmosphere filled with music & we continued to play 500 to the matter of a tipsy SS.
Tomorrows activity is the zip line which lands on this little island
