Can there be anything more lovely than an English picnic in the divine gardens of Rousham House on a perfect summer's day?

Ham hock, quails' eggs dipped in celery salt, asaragus and minted peas salad, Double Gloucester, Daylesford Blue and Wigmore cheeses and ginger beer. Could anything be more English?

Except, perhaps, for this wonderful walled potager, for which I would give my eye teeth.
