CRUZ
The Handsomest of Mountain Lions.
Named after the Santa Cruz River,
That runs through the Sonoran Desert.

March 2013, a California family found Cruz,
In their backyard.
All alone, weighing only 15 lbs. and full of fleas.

The Division of Wildlife nursed him back to health,
However, he couldn’t be returned to the wild 

Luckily, our Arizona Desert Museum,
Just retired their 13 year old arthritic siblings, 

So he was transferred here.
Now, he lives in a fabulous enclosure,
Entertaining and being entertained.
