Somewhere, over Manhattan...

As the pilot announced over the tannoy 'Those of you on the left hand side of the cockpit have a great view of Manhattan Island, those of you on the right hand side of the cockpit don't'

I was on the left...

Landed. 19 minutes between our plane landing and our homeward flight departing, and as you would expect, the gates were not adjacent. A brisk walk to the gate to find it closed, but the staff at Virgin Atlantic were really helpful and got us on the plane to get home. Unsurprisingly, with less than 20 minutes on the ground in New York our bags didn't quite make it to the plane. Nevermind.
