St Peter's Church, Conisbrough

This is an old church in Conisbrough. I went to take a blip of Conisbrough Castle which is a wonderful historic site. But passed through the church courtyard and I was so impressed with this I decided on this pic. I lived in Consibrough circa 1978 to 1982 and it was great to pass the Castle every day. It is well worth a visit, it's a motte and bailey Norman castle and now of course this wonderful church.

A description of it says 'Christian worship has taken place on this site for over 1200 years and the building is one of the oldest churches in England'.

I am off to Oldham today to watch Barnsley seek their sixth win in a row. My son will drive and I will just sit back and enjoy the scenery though most of it is the M62!

Have a good Saturday folks.
