5.7C and dull. Light breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went through to Arbroath before 9am and had our walk round the harbour. The lock gate to the inner harbour was closed so we could walk round in a loop. The tide was high and one of the boats in the inner harbour was getting ready to go out so the gates were due to be opened. There were only three or four boats, including Orianne, in the outer basin. I think some had already put to sea.

Before lunch we went out for a two mile walk. Down the road to the shore, but not down to the beach today then back home in a loop. Lunch while watching the F1 qualifying. Pole for Lewis Hamilton. A good season in prospect.

Six nations rugby on telly too this weekend.
