the girl and the suitcase

I was curious to know more about the history of our little  house in France so googled previous owners named on the deeds not expecting to find much. To my surprise one of them had a fascinating story. She was given a suitcase to look after by her mother who was taken away in wartime France. Many years later (perhaps whilst in our house, who knows?) she discovered it contained a novel . The novel has now been made into a film, which we are going to see this evening. 
I now have a few of her mothers books , but only read one so far (All our wordly goods) which I can recommend.
