Ballinvard

The tower house is hidden away in a low-lying valley near Rossmore, Conakilty, where I went for a stroll today. It is one of the 'castles' built by Randal Óg Hurley who also built a replica at Ballinacarriga. It was overtaken by Cromwell and has lay in ruins since.
