Moorhen

Monday. As it was bright, I went down to Inverleith Pond. It is also quite close to the office, so a quick walk.

The birds on the pond and in the wet garden area were quite active, apart from the pigeons and seagulls. I tried to get a good shot of the Coot, but it spent most of its time hiding from the camera, or looking the other way.

This Moorhen was a little more co-operative, and even though it is not looking at me, at least you can see the beak and one eye.
