Victorian Fernery at Hospitalfield House
Spending Mon - Fri on a college trip to Hospitalfield House in Arbroath.
One of the features of the house is a purpose built Victorian fernery.
The Victorians had a passion for collecting ferns and often built such structures to house them.
At Hospitalfield House the fernery has been derelict and in disrepair since the 1920′s. However there are plans for it's restoration.
