The Apprentice

We had a new helper today as we finished painting the living room, put up the new curtains and returned the room to its new normal.  It looks fab as does Daniel fresh from pizza for lunch.  Exhausted as we were, this evening we broke our rule of "always cook everything from scratch yourself" and bought in a Chinese meal.  Big mistake, good enough as take aways go, but a big disappointment as usual; too much fat, too much carb, too much sugar, too much funny aftertaste . Still, the Chardonnay washed it all down very nicely. Back to home cooking tomorrow.
