A Crazy Week!

There has been a gap in my journal of almost a week and I am so behind in catching up with other Blip mates' journals.

Apart from being a really busy week at work, the demolishers removing the house next door caused a large parapet wall to collapse all over our front garden and entrance porch. Lucky no one was wandering around there at the time! An "interesting" and quite upsetting surprise for me when I arrived home from work. Needless to say the builder has to clean it up, compensate and replace.

For the last couple of days there has been a serious cyclone "Olwyn" coming down the Western Australian coast from Exmouth. The forecast was that it would cause storms, heavy rain and gale force winds even as far south as Perth - most unusual. It did cause significant damage at Exmouth and Carnarvon - where it wiped out the banana plantations. However, although it was a Cyclone 3 when it started it petered out by the time it got to Perth.

There was some really interesting cloud formations on Saturday and this is a foto of one looming over the city.
