Goose family at Pitsford Reservoir

We travel to Northampton once a fortnight to visit Geraldine's parents, and our journey takes us over the causeway on Pitsford Reservoir near Holcot in Northamptonshire.

We hardly ever stop there which is a shame because it is a really pleasant spot with lots of walking and birdwatching opportunities. It was such a beautiful evening coming back today that we decided to make a stop for a short stoll. We soon came across this pair of geese with a gosling.

We must stop here more often in future.
