Girls Day Out/Off

White flag raised today - so I had the day to myself whilst Andrew had his well earned day of rest with the cricket.

Started at Ventnor (ice cream on the beach) then went on to Ventnor Botanic Gardens (well, the free bit of it ;o). I decided to use my 'free return' pass to Amazon World on the way back. Sadly again a coach load of school children made seeing some of the 'meet the animals' talks a bit difficult so I didn't stay too long.

I rounded off the day at Seaview Wildlife Encounter. It used to be Seaview Flamingo Park - but now you can pay £45 to sit in with the meercats so it's now an 'encounter'. It's a lovely park with free roaming ducks and geese that will feed from your hand. They are very enthusiastic when they see the brown paper bag of food emerge from your bag! In fact one of the wallabies thought he was missing out and stole a bag of food out of one lady's bag. The otters were very cute and although I missed the penguin feeding, when I got there it was deserted so got some great photo ops.
