Edinchip Ghost
There's abandoned settlements all over the Highlands, this rather anthromorphic tree trunk (that's an eye in the middle?) was taken in my local one, Edinchip.
Now little more than a collection of moss on low stone walls with a wide but muddy track running though it, there must have been around a dozen houses here. Enough remains to show that a small community once prospered by the stream, but a generation of trees has grown since then and decayed in turn. Like Hallaig and many others, the site has that melancholy air of abandonment to old ghosts.
