It was good!

After a difficult start to the day, it got better. For many people Mother's Day can be tinged with sadness.

Our children and Grandchildren came to see me today, the wordsearches went down well, as did the Fruit Gums @ 71pence a tube! But they enjoyed them, and I don't begrudge it for them, I'm just amazed that in old money they could possibly cost over 14 shillings!!

We had afternoon tea including crisps, HotCrossBun muffins, sausage rolls etc etc and we all had a slice of this gorgeous Fresh Strawberry and Fresh Guernsey cream cake, made by my most favourite daughter, I have to say that in case she reads this! We only have one daughter though!
