Grasmere Gingerbread

We are often in Grasmere, it's a base for our exploration of the Lake District and I really love that I can now walk from there with no map, I just know the paths, this is a first for me in my whole life of generally confused directions.

My wife was there last week and I asked her to bring me back some of the famous Grasmere gingerbread. Today I made it into some rather delicious ice cream which my waistline may regret.

I was checking on the internet to see if anyone else had tried this, when I came across a very sad news story of some six years or so ago about a trade mark dispute where one local business man committed suicide, allegedly as a result of the court case about who is allowed to use this name.
