Turtle release

The Olive Ridley Sea Turtle  is a sea turtle that is born on the beaches of Nuevo Nayarit.  There is a rescue organization that helps to protect the turtles.  We were lucky enough to be able to release the newborn turtles back to the water.  They are released after sunset to give the little turtles a greater chance of survival.  Even with this help, only 1% of the turtles reach maturity.  Gabriella was enthralled!
