Carry on up the Gorge II

Was it worth getting up at 5am for the Australian Grand Prix?

Not really!

It was a bit of a procession with Lewis leading from the start. A real lack of cars on the starting grid also with a lot of mechanical failures, Bottas and Alonso out with injuries and then there were teams just not having the cars ready in time.

I really hope it gets better for the next race...

Headed straight out for a quick pedal after the race.

Turned into a bit of a slog after I managed to get myself banned from crossing back over the suspension bridge. Wasn't entirely my fault but a disagreement with a toll booth attendant about the definition of "cyclists dismount" added an extra mile or so to my ride.

Popped round to mums to drop off card and present then round to Mary's for the same.

Giraffe in Cabot circus for tea when Amelia finally got back from a Guiding survival day in Bath. Very nice!

"Carry on up the gorge II" is the Strava name for a super steep winding path up the side of the Avon Gorge, plenty of runners use it, not so many bikes. It's quite hard work with a 27.5° gradient.
