FADED CHINESE LANTERN
I love Pyhsallis Alkekengi - or Chinese Lanterns as they're more commonly called.
A neighbour has a splendid patch of them growing in their front garden. Some of the previously orange flower heads have become transparent, almost lace-like and the bright orange seed is visible inside.
For the purposes of art (he he) and also to try and germinate a plant for myself, I liberated this seed head from the main plant.
Watch this pace.
