Halls Fell Ridge

The forecast was pretty good today - plenty of Sun over Threlkeld, so I thought it would be an opportunity to do Blencathra, and take the Wainwright Tally to 53. With some wind, and snow in places, there was no way I was attempting Sharp Edge, but I thought Halls Fell ridge looked interesting, and more importantly, quick (I had a workshop starting in the afternoon!)

Sadly, the cloud never cleared (which did prevent me from seeing quite how far the drops were on each side of the ridge) but also meant I could see nothing from the top either. Only when I had completed the walk did the clouds clear and it turn into a beautiful afternoon.

Good excuse to do it again sometime!
