Resonator Guitar

I've been working up on Banks Peninsula today, taking photos of bass guitars for a client who is my former neighbour.

The basses are a brand new product, hand-finished and drop dead gorgeous. But rather than use Blip for 'commercial purposes' (I know you can get in trouble for that, that is of course if there is anyone at Blipcentral to moderate) I thought I'd take a photo of my friend's Resonator Guitar that was parked up by the basses.

This Dobro-style resonator has a wonderful, unique sound that is prevalent in American music. It's a sound you'll recognise, but probably didn't know was made by this instrument. Check out a sample here
