MM59 - corners

What a delight at having another word that can be metaphorically turned into many things.
Given we're currently meandering our way down the island of Palawan in the Philippines, corners here are just as much about change toward a western influence & demand of services & amenities as they are the change of direction or the meeting point of 2 sides. These corners; when not managed or the resources made available, can turn an island paradise into something undesirable to an appreciation poor western traveller.

On the road again & continuing South after detouring East (the lay of the land & current road infrastructure dictated). A very windy road from the coast back up to the main highway...corners every minute for the 42minute journey.

Arrived at our conservative friendly hotel much to our delight...turning a comfort corner.
Water in front, the pool behind & surrounded by rather high hilltops which made for a bland sunset - we were on the balcony with mangos & pineapple awaiting our dinner dining time.
Dinner was a very special treat - including a wonderful dessert.
Ended with billiards & a little QI.
